údolie Antonstal, Nemšová
This private lodge in the spirit of German Romanticism was built on a picturesque meadow below a thick forest. Similar to the ‘feudal’ type of residences popular among leading political figures of Nazi Germany, it was intended for social events with a clear political subtext. The basic mass is formed from two blocks of wings on an L-shaped plan. Resting on the heavy stone base were two storeys of half-timbered walls, with small windows equipped with wooden shutters and a high peaked roof with many dormers. The arched niches on the ground floor were allegedly intended for displaying the game shot during the hunts. The interior was adorned by coffered ceilings of carved and painted wood. Around the year 2000, the original building was restored and enlarged.
